Ulises Patiño is a senior associate at the firm. He is admitted to practice law in Mexico and has more than ten years of experience at international law firms.
His practice focuses on advising agent banks, senior lenders, development finance institutions, investors, private equity and credit funds, as well as corporate borrowers, in secured and unsecured financing transactions with cross-border components in Mexico and Latin America. His experience includes structuring, negotiating and documenting syndicated loans and club deals, acquisition and project financings, sustainability-linked and green loans, as well as convertible instruments, credit agreements, intercreditor arrangements and Mexican-law security packages, together with step-in mechanisms, enforcement of security, conditions precedent and closings.
He also advises boards of directors, buyers and sellers on corporate and M&A transactions, particularly in deals where the financing and corporate workstreams intersect corporate borrowers, financial institutions and other creditors on a wide range of financial transactions, as well as on complex domestic and cross-border matters such as mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, investments and general corporate matters.

Advised IFC on the US$100 million first disbursement under an up-to US$600 million sustainability-linked financing program granted to Element Fleet.
